Overview
An enterprise resource management (ERM) platform built for Gliwickie Stowarzyszenie Biblijne, a religious association, designed to run their entire digital presence and congregation tools in one system: content, communication, and scheduling, all under a single account and permissions model. The project evolved considerably over its development, with the concept and initial scope reshaped partway through at the client's request.
What it does
- User accounts with role- and permission-based access control, with secure authentication throughout
- A Bible module covering five translations, with full-text search and a side-by-side translation comparison view
- A sermon archive of roughly 1,200 entries, each available in both text and audio form
- An interactive calendar with event notifications
- Real-time text and voice chat
- A news system organized into three content categories
- An audio/video streaming module was scoped and agreed as the next development phase
Tech highlights
- Backend built on .NET 7 / ASP.NET Core, containerized with Docker
- PostgreSQL for persistent storage, Redis for caching and real-time state
- SignalR powering the live chat and calendar notifications
- Full authentication/authorization layer supporting multiple user roles across the platform
Status
The system was fully completed and technically tested by August 2024. Following delivery, the client organization did not follow through on the agreed compensation — including infrastructure costs (hosting, domains, licenses) and developer fees — despite the completed and tested scope of work. Production rollout was put on hold as a result, and the matter has since been referred for legal review.
